Winter Hibernation

I’m very much a lover of the seasons, and a believer that not embracing them can be detrimental to our health. Today I read an article on the MotherEarthLiving.com website which struck a chord with me as it encourages a mini human hibernation in Winter. It even explains Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) which so many people appear to suffer with today, not so much due to a lack of sunlight, as a need to slow down in Winter that we deny ourselves. We expect ourselves to live in Winter, the same way as we would in Summer; and it’s not meant to be that way! I’m always telling people we should sleep more in Winter, and it seems I may be right.
